Clinical Specialist - Medical Device (Baltimore, MD)
3S has been retained to identify and experienced medical device industry clinical specialist. The Clinical Specialist is responsible for supporting strategic and revenue goals from the assigned customers by improving wound care knowledge and providing clinical training and education on our client's products to the customer’s staff. The Clinical Specialist will work across facilities, with a particular focus on developing and supporting clinical relationships with relevant account contacts. This role will work directly with customers to determine their training needs and establish training solutions to meet these needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Promote our client's value proposition from a clinical perspective by:
- Using customer educational programs, tools and presentations to increase knowledge of our client's product portfolio
- Providing training and in-servicing to expand customer’s wound care expertise and help them achieve clinical outcomes
- Conducting accredited education program and other education programs (e.g. WRN and Resident Training programs) in compliance with our client's policies
- Developing and managing relationships with WOCNs, DONs, and Nurse Education Directors
- Assisting with bedside consultations and case-specific training
- Understanding account-level training and in-servicing needs, and developing a targeted account strategy
- Providing clinical education services across facilities
- Communicating planned clinical education events to Territory Manager and/or Territory Representative roles
- Reinforcing optimal product usage protocols or related protocols
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Complete essential business-tracking requirements by:
- Capturing and maintaining customer profile data
- Assisting in collection of necessary documents and paperwork when required
- Document corporate and region reports
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or 2 years as a RN with WOCN experience in direct patient care
- Experience with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced wound care certification
- Licensed as a medical nurse
- Experience with wound management
